EPFL and KIGO

There was a need to obtain more accurate climate control. The EPFL chose KIGO for this.

The project:

The new high precision microscope laboratory of the EPFL in Lausanne was equipped with KIGO panels.

The goal:

Room conditioning with highly sensitive instruments, efficient and with high reactivity, without any air movement and without a magnetic field.

The KIGO solution:

The KIGO panels produced with non-magnetic steel are installed on the ceiling and on the walls.

The strong points:

  • Important heating and cooling power

  • Reversible system heat / cold

  • Non convection

  • Inert to magnetic field

  • Durability

  • High reactivity to variating heat loads
